C Reads: An Introduction

C Reads: An Introduction

In a recent post about why I love the library, I mentioned that we would soon hear more from Cameron. Today’s post is an introduction, and the start of an occasional series which we’re calling ‘C Reads’ (see what we did there?!).

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Cameron, I go to school. I’m 10 which means I’m in Primary 6.

What’s your favourite thing to do?

Read!

What’s your favourite book?

The Hobbit

Where do you like to read?

In my bed, wrapped up in the duvet and lying on my Ravenclaw cushion.

What book are you reading right now?

I’m listening to Harry Potter on Audible (again!) and I’m reading All Aboard by Enid Blyton

What books would you recommend to someone your age?

For the boys in my class - Harry Potter, especially the last one because they like fighting and it’s got a lot of that. For anybody else, maybe a David Walliams book, like Awful Auntie. I also like From The Mixed Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankweiler.

What would you like to read next?

I’d like to get the next Demon Headmaster book because I really liked the first one.

What do you like most about reading?

I like the fact that some parts I understand straight away, but other parts I can read like ten times and I only understand it then. Because then I’ve really had to think about it. When I read the same book another time, I understand a bit more about it each time because I’m older and I’ve learned other things to help me work it out.

What’s your favourite character from all the books you’ve read?

Gandalf. No, Dumbledore.

All responses are interviewee’s own and unedited. C Reads will be back in future posts with children’s book reviews and recommendations.
